Breaking: $4.7 Billion for Family and Domestic Violence Services!

National Cabinet have today announced an additional $4.7 billion will go to family and domestic violence services - a huge win for the sector!
ASU members have been calling for significant change for frontline domestic violence services - and we welcome today's announcement of new funding and the commitment to long term funding for our sector.
This includes:
- $800 million to lift funding to legal services (including improving pay)
- $700 million additional funding over five years to focus on specialist services for women, support for children and men's behaviour change programs
- $80 million expand child-centric trauma informed supports for children and young people
